    Genome Technology Center

The Genome Technology Center (GTC) provides a wide range of services for genome, epigenome, and transcriptome analysis, including deep sequencing, targeted capture preps, Nanopore sequencing, and single-cell RNA- and DNA-seq.

The GTC continually acquires and/or evaluates novel technologies in order to better serve the research community and provide exceptional support.

The GTC offers expert advice on the best strategies to achieve research goals in any genomics-related field and works closely with the Applied Bioinformatics Laboratories to provide expertise on strategies to achieve your research goals in any field related to genomics.

[MUSIC PLAYING] At the Genome Technology Center, we mostly do next-generation sequencing. We look at different aspects of genomics, such as transcriptomics. We also can do whole-genome sequencing. We can call mutations. And we have state of the art equipment and expert technical personnel who can take care of anything associated with a problem in the genomics world. One of the things that makes our center unique is that we like to do a lot of custom work. We like to participate in pilot projects and creating new methodologies and new technologies in collaboration with students, post-docs, and other faculty. We are very close with the graduate students in particular, because sometimes they have great ideas, and they don't really know of all the technologies that are available. And we just help them accomplish their research. We also have a great turnaround time. So when people need results and data very quickly, we can provide it within a couple of weeks' time and so that everybody can get their papers published and their grants submitted. There's so many interesting things going on. And it's very dynamic and very collaborative. [MUSIC PLAYING]
